Awards and Achievements “The American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee put on their annual Engineering Excellence Awards gala in Nashville, TN on November 21, 2019. Engineering companies from all over the state of Tennessee submitted projects for judging in different categories. LIS submitted a project in the category of Surveying and Mapping Technology and brought home the Grand Award! We submitted our project (BNA Terminal Planning), showcasing how we teamed up with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport to update their Master Plan. We provided our client with a georeferenced point cloud model of the interior and exterior of the terminal complex. By doing so, the MNAA would have an accurate Building Information Model of the entire airport that shows the current conditions of all previously completed projects at the airport. Since this project has been successfully completed, any current or future architects or contractors can use the digital model which accurately represents the airport.
